Review: Optimization Techniques for Multirate Digital

چکیده
Multirate filtering technique is widely used for meeting the sampling rates of different subsystems connected in cascade. Realization of Multirate system is cheaper than single rate system. But still it has huge scope to optimize the Multirate filters. This paper reviews different approaches for optimizing Multirate digital filter based on various optimization techniques such as Pipelining, Parallel processing, Retiming, Unfolding, Folding, Systolic architectural design. These optimization techniques provide the satisfactory frequency response with less power consumption, less area and more speed. Multistage implementation reduces the computational load to a large extent.
